About

Photography by Mark Wallisch

I would like to introduce myself a little closer, that is always a little difficult for myself. I don’t want to tell you too much about me, but not introducing myself isn’t the best manner, too. On the other pages you get an impression of my work and here it’s more about me. I always have one or two other private project in the pipeline, so I never get bored and always deal with the things that are really close to my heart. I like to play board games, draw, do outdoor activities and love to have a conversation with people about all varieties of topics. Actually there is always a topic we can talk about if the chemistry fit. To let you know who I am, I have summarised myself in ten facts, if you still want to meet me then feel free to contact me and we can talk in person. 🙂

10 facts about Me

  • 01 | I was born and raised in Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, in a city that for a long time was deep in the sleep of the East of Germany. Until the 10th grade I went to the Albrecht Dürer High School, how significant that I then later wanted to take up a profession that had to do with art.
  • 02 | In my childhood I was actually always at and in the water and therefore have a special relationship to the element and its inhabitants. If I could, I would spend much more time near the ocean.
  • 03 | When I was nine years old, I got my first Pokémon editions, and even today my passion for the series has not diminished. I can’t list them all, but I always try to know the newest ones. This has also influenced my creative vision, that there can always be two of one, even if they are a little different.
  • 04 | I believe in the existence of fate and prediction and that words are binding. Therefore, I do not make promises too lightly and find it unpleasant when people impose plans on me for the future. I also think that there are things that can not be explained rationally, which always inspires my imagination in projects.
  • 05 | My soul animals are crows and cats, they are fascinating creatures – not only in mythology but also in real life. I’m sure my cat Rosi feels the same way when she could talk. 😀
  • 06 | The best ideas come to me in nature, the depth of forests, the silence of lakes are places where I recharge my batteries. Since I do not like big cities very much, I love sleepy nests for living and vacationing. The charm of strolling through small storefronts and knowing your letter carrier by name makes me feel at home. It also helps me take a step back and look at things from a different angle.
  • 07 | My biggest dream is to travel to Japan soon and see the country and its people in person. I’ve read so much about it that I’m sure I’ll be disappointed after my visit because my expectations are way too high. 🙂
  • 08 | I’m a collector of many curious books and articles, I like Ghibli, Disney & Pixar movies and since childhood, influenced by my grandfather, who was my best friend and biggest critic back then and unfortunately had to pass away way too early, because of him I’m a big Nintendo fan.
  • 09 | My will always and everywhere to learn something new, have led to the fact that I have a great general knowledge, I don’t brag about, but I find it quite useful in everyday life to always be able to dig up the one or other story and anecdote. I’m always on the lookout for new things and try to approach everything as openly as possible, which I would also like to keep for work.
  • 10 | I always make the greatest demands on myself and still try to find the balance again when something doesn’t quite meet expectations. Living with the imperfect is necessary and mostly it is enough to convey the ideas you want to convey.
